Kayla de Freitas

Interested in grass roots, hands-on projects lead by communities or groups of young people, Kayla de Freitas serves as the secretary for the South Rupununi Conservation Society. She has previously worked with Conservation International Guyana on a resource development plan for communities close to the Kanuku Mountains Protected Area. A main focus of her work is not only protecting the physical natural assets of the region, but also its spirit.
