Kaylee Steck

Project Specialist, Office of Global Affairs

Kaylee Steck is a Project Specialist with the Office of Global Affairs (OGA) at the Smithsonian Institution, where she supports OGA's international projects and strategic initiatives. Prior to joining the Smithsonian, Kaylee implemented international exchange programs for participants from the Middle East and North Africa. She also managed components of USAID-funded projects in the region and provided key support during the planning, executing, and closing phases. Kaylee earned a Master of Arts in Arab Studies, focusing on development issues, from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, where she was a Foreign Language and Area Studies fellow. Additionally, she has a graduate certificate in International Education Management from the University at Albany. Kaylee has been studying Arabic since 2010, advancing her language skills in Morocco through the State Department-sponsored Critical Language Scholarship Program and later the Fulbright U.S. Student Program.
