The Reef Life Survey program uses scientists and citizen scuba divers to survey fishes on coral and rock reefs throughout the world. With more than 4500 surveys conducted in 2016, the program is working to inspire and engage a global volunteer community to survey reefs using scientific methods and share knowledge about marine ecosystem health. Smithsonian’s MarineGEO program is a partner on this University of Tasmania-led program.
